Feeling – No Pain

Feeling – No Pain explores how decision makers and their creation in technologies, like algorithms or facial recognition software, unwillingly feed their biases into programs that create discriminational patterns in codes. The work focuses on facial recognition technologies of today and analogue film processes from the 1940s to the early 1990s. In my photographic work I visualize the underrepresentation of women but especially Black women who are not visible enough in technological discourses and datasets for AI processes.
